Immagine progetto

On the 12th and 13th of September Rome will host the kick off meeting of the European Project REPRODIVAC Next-generation vaccines and diagnostics to prevent livestock reproductive diseases of worldwide impact funded through the Horizon Europe framework programme. For the next five years, 16 partners representing 7 European countries will be working together to develop new and improved vaccines and diagnostic tools required to better control four endemic and zoonotic abortifacient diseases: porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS), Q fever, ovine enzootic abortion (OEA), and porcine brucellosis. These new vaccines and diagnostics will be further developed by industrial partners to make them accessible to users. By adopting the latest and most advanced technologies in vaccine and diagnostic development, REPRODIVAC will improve animal health and, welfare, productivity and sustainability of the livestock sector, as well as human health.

The research is funded by the European Commission  and is coordinated by ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development.
